About Shield
Product documentation · Updated
Shield is a financial risk monitoring dashboard for people who want to follow market conditions and company cash flow with the source close at hand.
What the product is for
The dashboard brings together equity volatility, Treasury yield context, an OFR funding-stress proxy, SEC quarterly cash flows and personal price levels. Its purpose is to make observations and threshold breaches easier to inspect. Each measure keeps its own units, source and date.
Transparent rules, inspectable sources
The colors come from documented rules. Missing and stale data are identified, and a Treasury yield is kept distinct from a direct measure of liquidity. Shield does not combine these observations into a crisis probability or claim that a rule predicts future returns. Read the sources, calculations and limitations before interpreting a signal.
Your watchlist
You can use a guest watchlist without an account. Guest instruments and thresholds stay in this browser's local storage. An account can save the watchlist across devices. A saved account stores the email address, a salted password hash, a hashed session token and the watchlist. Account sign-ins, saved rule revisions and signed-in review actions are recorded in a private server audit. The global quote display is hosted by TradingView and has its own network and data practices. The current version has no password-reset flow.
What an alert means
An alert means an available observation crossed a rule. Acknowledging it marks it as reviewed and does not clear the underlying condition. It is displayed on the website, not delivered as an email or push notification. Shield does not recommend securities, provide trading instructions, execute orders or connect to a broker. It is an informational data tool, not an investment adviser or a trading venue.
